Amanda Elizabeth Righetti (born Amanda Elizabeth Righetti) is an American actor and producer. She achieved fame by portraying Special Agent Grace Van Pelt on CBS Police procedural program The Mentalist. Righetti is a Utah native, had always longed to be the next performer. At the age of four she was dancing. Love and Happiness, a 1995 movie, was her first big-screen appearance. In her first TV appearance she appeared as a participant in CBS CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Righetti was a 14-year-old model when she began her career. Righetti started her modeling career at age 14. Her move into Los Angeles four years later and played a few minor, but important parts. Righetti was also cast in other movies, such as the horror movie Friday 13th, which premiered in 2009. The movie about the superhero Captain America : The First Avenger Fox's soap opera North Shore as well as in Reunion. Between 2008 and 2015, she played Grace Van Pelt in The Mentalist getting praise from the critics for her performance. Righetti was recently cast in the role of Madeline Kenner by USA Networks in the science-fiction television series Colony.
