Colson Kelly, who is also referred to as Machine Gun Kelly, has a unique style of rapping. Baker, who was born April 22, 1990 at Houston Texas U.S. to a family with English Scottish and German ancestry is famous for his distinct style of rapping. His early years were filled with adventure. Baker traveled along with their missionary parents. James Colson Baker battled depression and unemployment, and his mother Sonia Alane dumped him at the age of nine. Baker's father moved together with his son to Denver and the family lived at the aunt of his father. Other kids in the area bullied Baker because he was poor. When he was in sixth grade, he started to take rap music as a form of entertainment. Colson Kelly was born as Machine Gun Kelly on April 22, 1989, in Texas. The music he composes blends modern hip-hop, alternative and rock. Baker has recorded four mixtapes during between 2007-2010 prior to signing with Bad Boy Records. With lyrics that were quicker than a bullet train and a soaring voice, the Cleveland rapper saw a rapid increase in fame and recognition in the year 2011. His career changed from self-released cassettes, to signing with labels. After that, his career skyrocketed as each of his albums charted inside the top 10.
